18.5 hours – Alternate Wednesdays, Thursday and Friday

An opening has emerged for a Secretary to join the Operational Support team based at Carr Gate, Wakefield.

The main purpose of the role, is to provide a comprehensive support function to the Senior Leadership Team and work closely with colleagues to provide support across the organisation in times of absence or high workloads.

Eligible candidates will possess previous secretarial experience and have the ability to minute meetings. They will have good organisational and interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

You will need RSA II qualification or equivalent experience and a high level of typing accuracy, as well as a working ability to use computerised packages such as Microsoft Office.

In addition, you must be prepared to work at other sites across the force area as and when required to provide business continuity and to enable the cluster to fulfil force-wide needs.

The successful candidate will be subject to personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment.
