So daily I get many questions regarding help and information so I thought I would put together a useful links page for you all as a place you can come if you need to contact any one.
Useful Links for Special Educational Needs and Disability Families
This list will be updated regularly so please do check back
1. SEND Family Instincts
They support families and professionals throughout the SEND and EHCP process. Including draft checking, parent requests, appeals and SEND negotiation. All the support you would need to guide you through the EHCP process.
There Facebook page is also really helpful

there are many FREE resources on the Facebook page and helpful videos and Q&A’s, I would recommend giving them a message if you need any help and advice on the EHCP process!
2. Disability Living Allowance

Did you know that you can apply for DLA even if you don’t have a diagnosis for your child
yet?
I have found alot of parents dont know this, and you could be entitled to this for your child. You fill in the form yourself and include any documentation you may currently have, for example a statement from their current educational setting like nursery or school.
My tip would be to make sure that you write about everything in as much details as possible and use extra sheets of paper if necessary to attach, the more information they have from you, the more chance you have of being awarded DLA.
3. Young Mind
‘We’re leading the fight for a future where all young minds are supported and empowered, whatever the challenges. We’re here to make sure they get the best possible mental health support and have the resilience to overcome life’s difficulties.’ – Young Mind
You can find on there website local centres where you can go with your child. You can also get a referral from your GP or paediatrician.
4. Family Fund
It’s worth taking a look at the family funds website and applying for a grant. They can even help you cover a family break together!
‘We provide grants for a wide range of items, such as washing machines, sensory toys, family breaks, bedding, tablets, furniture, outdoor play equipment, clothing and computers.’
And of course do not forget out Facebook community
