Is the future and path looking brighter for our future female leaders?
Women are more often promoted into leadership when the deck was stacked against them and more commonly known as the term “glass cliff”. More specifically, this research suggests that women are more likely to be appointed to leadership positions that are associated with an increased risk of criticism and failure
Is the glass cliff setting women up for failure or a launch pad for women? Do we have to take the risker options as a female leader to get ahead in business?
*Professors Michelle Ryan and Alex Haslam of the University of Exeter did the first detailed research into the idea, and adopted the term “glass cliff”
- Please not tickets are non refundable once booked. However we are more than happy to transfer to another attendee if pre agreed.
