November is shaping to be a fantastic month for family fun in Derbyshire, with some of England’s most spectacular annual outdoor events (Ok we are a little biased!). Eyam Bonfire and Firework Display

The festivities kick off at the village square from 5.30 pm. Witness the torch-lit music-led procession featuring the infamous ‘Willow Rat’, paying homage to Eyam’s intriguing history. The parade winds through the village to the chants of ‘Burn the Rat’ before arriving at the playing fields. The rat is laid on the spectacular bonfire, followed by a fabulous fireworks display. Indulge in locally produced treats like farmhouse sausage hotdogs, jacket potatoes, and more, along with seasonal favourites like mulled wine and bonfire toffee. All proceeds benefit Eyam School PTFA and local community projects.
