Solo Girling Valentine’s Day Itinerary: The Ultimate Self-Love Date

Theme: “Romance Yourself—Because You’re the Love of Your Life”

Author Becky Hayes

I’m Becky, and I’m 41. After being married for 16 years and having a beautiful daughter, I then found myself navigating single life in my 30s and as a single parent. In my 30’s, I’ve had relationships and breakups and had to learn how to be happy by myself. After talking about my experiences on social media, Solo Girling was born to help women feel happy solo. It’s not just for single ladies but any woman who wants to feel confident and embrace their own time. My Solo Girling videos on TikTok have gone viral, and The Mirror and The Express have picked it up as a story.

Ground Rule:

Stay off social media all day. This day is about you, not anyone else’s highlight reel. Disconnect to reconnect.

Morning: Setting the Tone for Self-Love

  • 7:00 AM: Gentle Wake-Up – No scrolling! Just you, your cosy sheets, and a moment to stretch like the queen you are.
  • 7:15 AM: Gratitude Practice – Write three things you’re grateful for. Big or small, it all counts.
  • 7:30 AM: Mindful Getting Ready – While you get ready for work, listen to Mel Robbins’ podcast episode: “How Do I Learn to Love Myself, Really?” Let her words fill your mind with kindness and confidence.

Morning Treat:

  • 8:30 AM: Coffee Date (With Yourself) – On your way to work, treat yourself to your favourite coffee.
My current obsession is caramel Macchiato from Starbucks.

Workday: Making It Feel Special

  • 9:00 AM: Work Starts – Whether at the office or working from home, carry that self-love energy with you.

If You’re Working from Home:

  • Put on the “Loving Myself / Self-Love Era” playlist on Spotify.
  • Apply a face mask for a mini pamper session while you work. Why not?

Lunchtime: A Graze for the Goddess

  • 12:30 PM: Grazing Board Lunch – No sad desk lunches today.
  • Gather your favourite snacks: cheeses, fruits, crackers, chocolates, olives—whatever feels indulgent.

Afternoon: Buy yourself flowers

3:00PM: Flower Run – Take a break and head to a local florist or supermarket.

Buy a few bouquets of your fav flowers, and when you get home, arrange them into a big vase. Think big, hotel-style arrangements where you can always see them.

Evening: The Grand Finale

. 5.30PM: Clock off and get ready for your solo date
. Change into something cute but comfy
.6.30PM: Solo Cinema Date to see the new Bridget Jones Movie
. Get your fav snacks and drinks and enjoy!

Nighttime Wind Down:

. 9:00PM: Home Sweet Home
. Slip into clean sheets
. Make a cosy drink like herbal tea or hot chocolate
. Spray your pillow with a calming mist
. Enjoy a good night’s sleep.
