Review: Aguulp Liquid Supplement, helpful to a new mum?

Gut supplement company Aguulp contacted us to ask if we would like to review the new product they have that’s hitting the market by musician and mental health advocate Professor Green. Professor Green founded Aguulp after a lifelong battle with gut health and gut issues and is also the patron of anti-suicide charity calm. The liquid supplements aim to improve gut, brain, immune health with high-quality ingredients with positive health effects.

“The bacteria found in your gut (also known as the gut microbiome) help you digest foods. They also work all over your body, with studies showing links between gut health and mental health, mood, the immune system, sleep, skin conditions. ”

So I started to look at what they were doing and how it could help new mums especially when returning to work after maternity leave. As a new mum for the second time at 42 years old and far from my peak fitness (not quite sure when i was at peak fitness), how could Aguulp help me? I jumped over to the site to answer the Aguulp feel good health quiz.

I decided on the Aguulp brain supplement, which claims to support women’s brain health, which would be excellent if it worked as the brain fog of being a new mum seemed to be heavier and lasting longer than before. And was impacting my mental health.

Perhaps it’s to do with all we have been through in the last few years, but lack of focus and the feeling of brain fog in not regaining my previous brain function did not seem to be changing. Another exciting fact I read on the website is how it can help the female brain fog with the positive role Aguulp can play when women are going through menopause.

Before starting Aguulp, I had no real immune system issues or previous health issues, and the only vitamin I had been taking was Vitamin C, which I stopped while on the month’s course!

The packaging is undoubtedly stylishly and stunning; the month’s worth of Aguulp supplement brain health comes in little packets that you can easily pop in your bag or keep in the fridge giving you easier access.

You tear off the top (Although I found it much easier with scissors). You can take the products straight from the pocket after you have shaken them, and I did try this for two days, but I am afraid the taste was not for me, and I struggled. However, you can mix Aguulp with a cold drink to help disguise the taste if you struggle with it. Although it states, you must not pop it in to be blended or added to a hot drink.

Day 1 – 5

It was a taste that took a while to get used to and find the best way for me to drink. I found that adding to a strong tasting bottled smoothie was the first step to solving this issue. At first, I was tempted to add to a long drink to dilute the taste. I found it best to add to a smaller glass as I couldn’t settle with the taste.

Day 5- 10

I started to find it a lot easier to drink and take in the morning and had started to get into a routine every morning. What I did begin to feel was in the afternoon when I often found brain fog and beginning to feel unfocused. I noticed I was sticking to tasks and accomplishing more than I had the days before in my ongoing work. It was noticeable, but then you also feel am I conning myself as I know I am taking the product or is it having an effect.

Day 5 – 15

After two weeks, it was clear that I was feeling more focused and sticking to the task and seemingly wading through what used to feel like the afternoon fog.

Day 15 plus with Aguulp

I was feeling my old self, feeling focussed and sticking to task with ease. There was, without a doubt, a difference and the effect this was having on me as a whole. My need for the fast caffeine fix was no longer happening throughout the day.

The good news was the overall feeling was that the fog curtain had been lifted. I was functioning and being productive and staying on task in the afternoon. It’s something that started slowly and did feel like a positive lift so much, so I don’t want to stop as I am loving the feeling of hitting my stride again. The taste takes a while to get used to, I am not going to lie, but I can see why they are best sellers, and I think a great product that worked for me.
