Hi I’m Katie – a PR specialist with almost 10 years’ industry experience. I’ve worked with businesses large and small, throughout the UK and overseas too! Whilst the majority of my clients operate in B2B environments such as recycling, software development, HR, engineering, interior and property development, I have supported consumer brands in the world of beauty, pet supplies and the charity sector as well.
A self-confessed ‘word nerd’, I love helping clients tell their story, however complex their business. But, unlike many PR professionals, I don’t believe in a ‘smoke and mirrors’ approach to Public Relations. I’d rather spend time helping my clients understand exactly how communications activities can work for them, so that they themselves feel empowered to talk about their brands, e.g. on social media.
And this straight-talking approach has attracted industry recognition, with us scooping the CIPR Outstanding Young Communicator Award, the Duke of York Young Entrepreneur Award (presented by HRH Prince Andrew himself), a listing in Feedspot’s top 100 PR blogs on the planet (2017) and the final 3 of PR Moment’s B2B PR Company of the Year (North – 2017), to name just a few.
An expectant mum myself, I am also an employer of part-time working mothers, which has proven invaluable to the development of my young business.
When I’m not writing, you’re most likely to find my boyfriend and I in one of Yorkshire’s incredible restaurants! WE LOVE FOOD. We’ve definitely got the travel bug too, so I’m practically always dreaming about my next getaway. I’m also lucky to have some fabulous women in my life, so spend as much time with them as I possibly can.
If you ever want to pick my brains about anything to do with copywriting, PR, events management, blogging, social media, website content, videography scripting or anything else communications related you can contact me on 01484 489333 or emailKatie@scribapr.com. (These details can also be used if you know a hidden gem of a restaurant you think I might love!)
