“Consilia” means working together in Latin. This is something which represents the firm’s ethos. Consilia Legal is all about working with our team and our clients alike in harmony.

The firm was established in November 2014 by directors, Marie Walsh, Sally Clark and Laura Clapton. They had worked together at a previous law firm and had shared core values in relation to the kind of business they wanted to run. This included a flexible working environment. As parents themselves, directors Sally and Marie appreciate the challenge of having a healthy work life balance.

Our Flexible Working Ethos

Consilia Legal has grown in size since it was established in 2015. They have 8 employees and are wanting to increase in size further. Consilia Legal has a flexible working ethos and provides a contrast in working styles from a lot of established and larger practices. The firm prides itself on its friendly and personal environment whilst also being highly professional. Being niche in its areas enables the firm to offer unique working solutions where necessary and dependent upon the needs of its staff.

They work closely together and there is a real “hands on” approach by all. The firm also like to organise regular activities for the whole team outside of the office. This includes bowling, black tie dinners as well as a trip to the local panto to add some well-deserved fun to work life.
