We’re living in a technological age and, chances are, if you have kids, the internet really wasn’t what it is now while you were growing up. This means that many of us aren’t familiar with what to do when it comes to managing our kids’ engagement with the internet and ensuring that they are safe and productive with their time spent online.

Of course, the internet can be a scary place. As adults, we know what we can safely search for and what to avoid. We are also more wary of those we meet online, with many of us unlikely to arrange to meet strangers who we have no information on. But the same can’t be said for little ones. They don’t have the life experience to safely browse completely independently.

The good news is that you’re not alone. There are plenty of other parents out there with similar questions and there are also plenty of resources that can show you some key facts and figures when it comes to kids spending time online. Take a look at Kidadl for more information.
