If you’re anything like me, soft play has been a lifesaver some days. Rainy weekend? Playdate chaos? Early finish from a nursery? Need to get some time on the laptop? I’ve been there—armed with snacks, a change of clothes, and the patience of a saint. I have even done my fair share of ball pits and ball pools, along with messy play toddler sessions with my toddler. I have also nearly got stuck in a play slide trying to chase my toddler to leave!

I lived in North Leeds for over 10 years, raising my son through all the toddler stages (hello tantrums and constant snack demands), so a great soft play area allowed me to work while he played. I still head back to Leeds regularly, and a lot of my closest mum friends are based up there. Kids Go Bananas in Armley (Previoulsy Jungle Kids) is a great little spot if you’re after a classic soft play that’s affordable, friendly, and perfect for letting off steam. The play area is bright and colourful, with slides, ball pits, climbing frames, and tunnels—all designed to keep kids aged 0–8 busy and happy.

There’s also a dedicated baby and toddler area that’s safely enclosed, which is always a bonus if you’re juggling a crawler and a bigger one! The café is simple but solid, serving hot drinks, sandwiches, and kids’ lunch boxes.

Monster Kidz – Beeston & Bramley’s Soft Play Favourite

If you’re looking for somewhere fun and flexible, Monster Kidz has two Leeds locations: Beeston and Bramley. Both have large indoor play areas with slides, climbing zones, ball pits, and dedicated areas for babies and toddlers.

It’s a colourful, safe play experience and really popular for children. Plus, their little cafés serve kid-friendly meals and coffee that’s better than you would ever expect. At soft play, it’s a fun place . It’s great grub for a day out or a birthday party!

👉 Top Tip: Look for midweek deals. They sometimes offer discounted entry during term time!

Monster Kidz – Bramley’s Bright and Buzzy Soft Play

Monster Kidz is always a hit if you’re around Bramley and need somewhere to burn off serious energy. It’s a big, colourful soft play area packed with multi-level climbing frames, tunnels, slides, and ball pools—perfect for kids up to around 12 years old.

They also have a separate baby and toddler zone with softer play equipment for little ones, so you can relax knowing the smallest adventurers are safe, too. There’s a small café with all the essentials: decent coffee, toasties, and kids’ snack boxes.

👉 Top Tip: Look out for term-time toddler mornings — quieter and cheaper if you have under-5s!

Jackaboos – A Toddler’s Dream Soft Play

If you have little ones under 6, Jackaboos in Farsley is a gorgeous option. It’s a smaller, three-tier soft play centre with slides, ball pools, trampolines, and a fab Wow Toy Play Zone (the only one in Leeds!).

It’s safe, cosy, and perfect for younger children who might find the bigger soft plays a bit much. Plus, the staff are lovely, and the whole vibe is welcoming.

Monkey Maze in Garforth is a brilliant jungle-themed soft play centre that’s perfect if your kids love to climb, swing, and slide their way around. It’s big enough to keep children from toddlers up to around 10 years old happy, but not so huge that you lose sight of them (which, let’s be honest, we all worry about!).

There’s a huge multi-level play frame, twisty slides, climbing nets, ball pits, and loads of hidden corners for adventure. Plus, there’s a separate baby and toddler area with gentler equipment, soft flooring, and plenty of sensory play.

Their café is fab, too—good coffee, sandwiches, and a kids’ menu with all the usual favourites.

👉 Top Tip: They offer exclusive hire for parties, which is great if you want the whole place to yourselves without the crowds.

Kids Clubhouse – Horsforth’s Friendly Soft Play Favourite

Kids Clubhouse in Horsforth is one of those hidden gems you’ll wish you’d found sooner. It’s a bright, friendly soft play centre with a twin wavy slide, sports court, ball pits, and even a mini karting track—so there’s plenty for kids to burn off some serious energy!

There’s also a separate toddler area , with soft blocks and sensory toys, perfect for little ones who are just starting to explore. Plus, the café serves proper coffees (thank you!) and a good mix of kids’ and grown-up lunches.

👉 Top Tip: It’s a fab size—big enough for the kids to go wild but small enough that you can actually sit down and still see them (mum win).

Munchkins Soft Play – Big Fun in Morley

Munchkins Soft Play is a real favourite with Morley families—and it’s easy to see why. It’s a three-level play structure packed with ball pools, trampolines, wavy slides, and loads of tunnels and bridges to climb through.

There’s also a dedicated under-2s area , full of soft shapes and sensory toys, so even the littlest ones can get involved safely. Plus, the seating area for parents overlooks the whole play frame, so you can actually sit with a coffee and keep an eye on them at the same time (miracles do happen!).

Little Scallywags Soft Play – Friendly and Fun in Morley

If you want something a bit more chilled, Little Scallywags Soft Play is a fab, friendly choice in Morley. It’s a smaller soft play centre, ideal for under 8s, with slides, ball pits, crawl tubes, and a nice open-plan layout—perfect for younger children and those who can get overwhelmed in bigger places.

It’s clean, welcoming, and has a lovely relaxed vibe. Plus, their café serves brilliant homemade cakes (yes, please) and a proper brew.

👉 Top Tip: They offer exclusive party hire, too, if you want a quieter birthday bash without the crowds.

Junglecatz – Perfect for Under 8s in Morley

Junglecatz in Morley is brilliant if you have children aged 8 and under. It’s a jungle-themed play centre packed with slides, ball pools, bridges, and plenty of places to climb and explore.

It’s not massive, which makes it ideal if you want somewhere you can sit down and still keep an eye on your little monkeys while they play. They run baby classes and craft mornings, too, so it’s a lovely community hub if you’re local.

👉 Top Tip: Pop next door to Morley town centre afterwards — loads of nice independent cafés for a cheeky cake stop.

Tucked away in Seacroft, Little Bees is a huge, bright, soft play centre that’s brilliant for all ages. There’s a massive multi-level play frame, ball pools, mega slides, and a lovely toddler-only area just right for the smaller ones finding their feet.

They also run fab den-building and authentic play sessions, perfect if you want something different from the usual soft play chaos. The café is roomy and serves proper coffee, lunches, and snacks.

👉 Top Tip: It’s ideal for rainy days when you need to burn off energy, and it’s reasonably priced.

If you’re after a next-level play day, Playhive at Stockeld Park is a must. Just outside Leeds, it’s one of the largest indoor adventure play centres in Europe, packed with epic slides, tunnels, climbing zones, and magical themed worlds (think space rockets, jungles, and underwater kingdoms!).

Designed for kids aged 1–12, it’s the perfect all-weather spot—with a handy café inside for coffee and lunch breaks. You can also pair it with Stockeld Park’s outdoor play areas and seasonal events if you fancy making it a full family day out for imagination to run wild.

👉 Top Tip: Book ahead for term time, especially in school holidays — it gets busy!
