You can book a Christmas at Chatsworth ticket to cover all the attractions for Adults £34, Children 3yrs plus £19 or a family ticket 2 adults, up to 3 children £84 which isn’t cheap but well worth it if you can stretch to the tickets or you can visit the Christmas market for free but you have to pay for parking and pre booking that space is essential. The Palace of Advent, The Countdown Is On:
As you approach Chatsworth House during the festive season, you’ll be greeted by the grandeur of the Palace of Advent, a sight that embodies the very essence of Christmas and wonder in Derbyshire and gives that Bridgeton feel as you drive through the Chatsworth estate and enter the heart of the house.
Our children adore looking at the glittering lights, giant candy canes, and the towering Christmas tree brooch forest, the palace exudes a warm and inviting ambiance that sets the stage for a magical experience of 24 rooms filled with Christmas wonder, sights, sounds and scents of the season. It really is an amazing family day if you can stretch to the full ticket as I know it is expensive and certainly at the current time, you certainly get the full experience.
Discover the ‘Palace of Advent’ this Christmas. Your Chatsworth ticket includes entry to the stately home, garden and farmyard (visits 4 – 26 November also include entry to the Christmas market). Pre-booking is essential.
Father Christmas Workshop
At the heart of the house, you’ll find Father Christmas’ workshop; a hive of activity as preparations are underway for the all-important Christmas Eve deliveries. Keep your eyes peeled for his little helpers around the house, who you may spot making mischief while Father Christmas is away.
Make a Christmas wish to hang on the very special wish trees and take the opportunity to stir the giant Christmas pudding pot, just one of many festive photo opportunities to be enjoyed with friends and family.
Christmas at the farmyard

The farmyard has a new style as it embraces the wonder of Christmas with decorations and lights and Christmas trees. Meet the friendly farm animals and enjoy milking demonstrations and guinea pig cuddling sessions. They are also hosting Christmas crafts in the barn, plus story time sessions with Father Christmas* (*separate ticket required). Children can also enjoy the woodland playground as usual.

You can also drop into the gift shops for some amazing Christmas shopping.

Live Entertainment: Immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere with live music echoing through the market. As you peruse the stalls, the cheerful melodies create an enchanting backdrop to your shopping experience, adding an extra layer of merriment to your visit.
Spectacular animated light show:
As day turns to night, the magic continues with an interactive light trail that illuminates the gardens, creating a breathtaking spectacle for your illuminated walk from the season. It includes the scents of the season, from fresh pine to festive food, enhance the immersive experience, transporting you into to a world of deep midwinter enchantment. This is one of my little ones favourite parts to the experience and feels very the Lion The Witch And The Wardrobe.
Top Tip: Don’t miss the special features such as the giant Christmas pudding pot, the stunning guinea pig, and the awe-inspiring giant advent calendar. These one-of-a-kind installations add an extra touch of whimsy to the already captivating atmosphere and the kids just love it.
